Municipal Grant Program

The Municipal Grants Program supports the City of Saint John ongoing pursuit to be a community of choice and promote economic health to residents and visitors. This program recognizes Council’s Priorities and the City’s current and future fiscal capacity. The program features a streamlined grant application process, application timelines, guidelines and requirements.

Grants are managed and administered under the Growth & Community Development Service of the City of Saint John.

The City of Saint John’s Municipal Grants Program incorporates three types of grants:

Community Grants

Supports healthy, active and inclusive communities through the delivery of social, cultural and recreational activities.

Three categories include: organizational support; community projects; and special events.

2016 funding is limited. Requests are to be submitted directly to Saint John Common Council and will be reviewed upon council referral by the Grants Evaluation Committee on a case by case basis.  Please note that the Committee does not meet again until July 2016. Referred requests will not be reviewed until then.

Community Arts Funding Grants

Provides project support for non-profit organizations or groups wishing to offer quality arts activities in any discipline of the creative arts within the City of Saint John.

Deadline for Applications: April 15, 2016.
