Information Technology (IT) is the support backbone for computer and technological services to the City of Saint John. It is accountable for the installation and maintenance of all city networks. Requests for IT help are managed through the IT Service Desk. Computer and phone-related support is provided to all employees of the City of Saint John and its Commissions, such as the Saint John Police Force. The IT Service Desk accepts and logs requests and then assists city employees or assigns the call to another IT staff member.
The IT Department plays a key role ensuring our organization has the tools it needs to achieve the community's vision by servicing all City departments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and facilitating working operations for the normal day-to-day system facilities in all areas of city operations.
