Armed Robbery - Bayview Credit Union

The Saint John Police Force is presently investigating a report of an armed robbery at the Bayview Credit Union located on Main Street west in Saint John NB on March 30, 2016 at 4:45pm.

A male entered the Bayview Credit Union and demanded cash from the bank tellers. The suspect displayed a handgun and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries reported during this incident.

The male suspect is described as Caucasian, English speaking, possibly in his 30’s, between 5’8” and 6’0” feet tall with a slender to medium build. The suspect was wearing large dark colored sunglasses and displayed a dark colored scarf which covered the lower part of his face. He was wearing a dark colored toque, black jacket, black pants, and dark boots. Please see the attached photos.

The suspect fled on foot in the direction of Greystone Terrace, located off of Catherwood Street, where he was observed by witnesses getting into a newer model white colored Chev product displaying Nova Scotia plates. The vehicle left the area in the direction of O’Brien Street. 

The Saint John Police Force Major Crime Unit continues to investigate.
