Fri September 27, 2013

(SAINT JOHN, NB) – The Saint John Police Force want to remind motorist of the potential risk of deer/moose collision’s this time of year.

Motorists are asked to be vigilant when operating their vehicles as with the Fall season upon us the likelihood of deer coming closer to the roadways from the interior woods is high.

Every year Moose and deer cause a significant number of collisions on our roadways. Colliding with these animals cause significant damage and potentially cause fatality.

We ask motorists to heed to the warning signs at prime areas of moose and deer crossings, drive at a safe speed, drive defensively, and know your surroundings.
