Drug Investigation

On Tuesday afternoon,  the Saint John Police Force Integrated Street Crime Unit, consisting of members of the Saint John Police Force, Kennebecasis Valley regional Police Force and the RCMP executed a number of search warrants in regards to an ongoing investigation into the Trafficking of Narcotics in the City of Saint John. Search warrants were executed at residences on Durham Street, Douglas Avenue and Millidge Avenue.

As a result of these searches, as well as a vehicle search that was conducted by Saint John Police Uniform Patrol Officers, Police arrested two males ages, 58 and 49 years old and a 49 year old female. They are being charged with a number of charges including Possession of Drugs for the Purpose of Trafficking as well as possession of firearms.

TOTAL APPROXIMATE STREET VALUE OF CONTROLLED DRUGS AND SUBSTANCES SEIZED as a result of the searches was $188,000. Also seized were two firearms and a quantity of ammunition.

Police expect to make more arrests as this investigation continues.
