The Saint John Police Force responded to 95 calls for service.
There are only two items that were considered newsworthy.
Yesterday afternoon at 4:45pm we received a third party call regarding a possible impaired driver on Foster Thurston Drive. We located this vehicle off of Churchill Blvd and a vehicle stop was conducted. As a result of this vehicle stop a 56 year old male driver was arrested for impaired driving. He has since been released on conditions which include a mandatory driver’s license suspension and a future provincial court date to answer to the approved criminal charges of Impaired Driving and failing the breathalyzer.
And lastly to report, at 1051pm last evening we received a call from a drinking establishment uptown, which indicated that two males were inside this location off of Prince Edward Street and that these male were refusing to leave. When responding police arrived at this location and discovered that these two males, aged 27 and 29, were highly intoxicated. Both of these males were on previous court ordered conditions to not consume alcohol and as a result of this breach they were placed under arrest and transported to our holding facility. They are expected to appear in Provincial Court later today facing the approved charges.
