The Saint John Police Force responded to 105 calls for service.
Yesterday morning at 1020am we arrested a 26 year old female who is now facing criminal charges in connection with recent uptown car prowls and theft from vehicles. She remains in police custody and is expected to make a provincial court appearance later this morning to answer to the approved criminal charges.
At 1115am we responded to a residential break and enter at an address off of Mount Pleasant Ave East Saint John. The culprit(s) responsible entered this residence by forcing open the rear door. Once inside items were moved and disturbed. At the time of this media report it is unknown what or if anything has been taken during this offence. Our investigation is continuing.
At 1259pm yesterday afternoon we responded to an address off of Clifton Street in West Saint John regarding a male who was witnessed attempting to break into a home. This male quickly fled the scene. The responding Police members conducted a search of this area and quickly located and arrested a 22 year old male. He remains in police custody expecting to make a provincial court appearance later this morning facing Criminal Charges of Break and Enter as well as violation of a previous Court Order (Form 12).
And lastly to report, at 2:12am this morning we responded to a Break, Enter and Theft at an apartment off of Bonita Avenue in East Saint John. The owners were away for the evening and upon returning found their apartment was compromised. The rear bedroom window was smashed out and a TV was taken from within. Our investigation is continuing into this incident.
