No Criminal Charges to be Laid in the Death of Serena Perry

(SAINT JOHN, NB) – The Saint John Police Force in consultation with the Crown Council’s office has decided that there will not be Criminal Charges laid in the death of Serena Perry, February 14th- 2012, while she was a patient at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

The Forensic Pathology examination cannot confirm a cause of death, which is a key determining factor in any death investigation.

As a result Chief of Police Bill Reid has met and requested from the Coroner’s office to hold a public inquest into this matter.
