Operation J Trapper

On the 16th of November, 2016 the Saint John Police Force in partnership with The Department of Justice and Public Safety, The RCMP, Kennebecasis Regional Police and the Canadian Border Services took part in a joint investigation known as Operation J Trapper.

The joint investigation spanned a six week period and culminated in the execution of nine search warrants in 9 different locations in the greater Saint John area. As a result just over 325,000 illegal cigarettes were seized as well as two vehicles, and approximately $45,000 in cash. The provincial tax value of the illegal cigarettes is approximately $72,000.

Police arrested two males who were released to appear in court on a later date. There are more arrests still to be made.
