Four Saint John Police Officers were awarded commendations last evening at a ceremony at One Peel Plaza for their selfless actions at a very serious, life-threatening shooting incident last year.

  • Constable Nicholas Roy was awarded the Saint John Board of Police Commissioners - Gold Commendation.
  • Constables Connor Bodechon, Travis Jones and Albertus (BJ) Scholten were awarded the Chief – Silver Commendation.

Additionally, Constable Peter Osborne was awarded a Commendation by The Right Honourable David Johnston for his assistance in the rescue of a woman attempting to jump from the Reversing Falls Bridge on July 15, 2013.

In January 2014, Cst. Osborne received a Saint John Board of Police Commissioners Gold Commendation for his lifesaving actions in the rescue.

The commendation was presented by Chief Reid on behalf of the Governor General at a ceremony at One Peel Plaza on Wednesday, April 8th.

Congratulations to Constables Osborne, Roy, Bodechon, Jones and Scholten for a job well done!
