Four Saint John Police Officers were awarded commendations last evening at a ceremony at One Peel Plaza for their selfless actions at a very serious, life-threatening shooting incident last year.
- Constable Nicholas Roy was awarded the Saint John Board of Police Commissioners - Gold Commendation.
- Constables Connor Bodechon, Travis Jones and Albertus (BJ) Scholten were awarded the Chief – Silver Commendation.
Additionally, Constable Peter Osborne was awarded a Commendation by The Right Honourable David Johnston for his assistance in the rescue of a woman attempting to jump from the Reversing Falls Bridge on July 15, 2013.
In January 2014, Cst. Osborne received a Saint John Board of Police Commissioners Gold Commendation for his lifesaving actions in the rescue.
The commendation was presented by Chief Reid on behalf of the Governor General at a ceremony at One Peel Plaza on Wednesday, April 8th.
