SJPF Respond to Sudden Death

The Saint John Police Force received a call to a north end residence at approximately 145pm on Christmas Day, December 25, 2015 for a medical assistance call. It was reported that a small child suffered a fall inside the residence.

Officers arrived at the scene and learned from paramedics that the 26month old boy was unconscious / unresponsive. The child was transported to the Saint John Regional Hospital, and shortly thereafter he was pronounced dead.

Police are presently awaiting the results/ findings of a pathologist report which is expected to take some time.

There will be no further comments issued at this time.
