SJPF Arrest Two Males in Connection to Weapons Call

The Saint John Police Force received a call at approximately 2:10pm on Tuesday September 18th, 2012 to 258 King Street west, Snacks Convenience Store. This call was regarding a male in possession of a firearm looking to shoot police.  The area around King Street West was blocked off and contained for public safety and the Saint John Police Emergency Tactical team was deployed due to the nature of the call.

Two males were later arrested without incident. One 59 year old male was charged with Public Mischief-Leading police into a false investigation after the investigation determined that a false report to the police was made and a 60 year old male was charged with unsafe storage of a firearm.

Both males have been released on conditions and will be appearing in Adult Court at a later date to answer to the related charges.
