Update: AJ’s Restaurant and Lounge Incident - April 1st, 2013

On Monday the 1st day of April 2013 at 0100 hours, the Saint John Police Force (SJPF) received a call to AJ’s restaurant and lounge located at 638 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, where a 43 year old male was transported to the Saint John Regional Hospital with serious life threatening injuries.

On the evening of April 12, 2013, Victim, 43 year old, Scott Crawford passed away as a result of his injuries sustained on April 1, 2013.

The Investigation was completed by the Saint John Police Major Crime Unit and forwarded to the Crown Prosecutor’s office for their review.

The Crown Prosecutors office in consultation with the Saint John Police Force has determined that there is not a substantial likelihood of conviction, and therefore no charges will be laid as a result of this incident.

Police and Crown’s office have with met and informed the Crawford family.
