Update - Discovery of body in water at Long Wharf

The Saint John Police Force has identified the victim discovered in the water on April 14th, 2015.  We would like to thank the public as well as the media for their assistance with this investigation.

As a result of the preliminary autopsy report and follow up investigation we do not suspect foul play as the cause of death. With the exception of notifying next of kin, the Saint John Police Force has concluded their investigation.

(SAINT JOHN, NB) – The Saint John Police Force received a call at 10:37am on April 14th, 2015 concerning a human body that had been discovered near Long Wharf in Saint John’s harbor.

The Saint John Police Force Major Crime Section is reaching out to the public for their assistance in attempting to establish the identity of this individual.

The body is that of a female who is between 50-60 years of age.
She is roughly 5’-5’2 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 lbs – 150 lbs.
She has short (pixie) salt/pepper hair and at the time of discovery she was wearing Black and burgundy leggings, Black tank top, Black long sleeve shirt, Black jacket with hood and Black Michael Kors Knee High leather boots with zippers on the inside and buckles on the outside in size 7 ½.

She also was wearing some distinctive jewelry.  Photos provided below.
