Criminal Investigations Division

The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) of the Saint John Police Force is responsible for investigating crimes that require extensive follow up by trained investigators or that would be too time-consuming for a member of the Patrol Division.  The crimes may be of a sensitive nature, may involve serious personal injury or loss of property, or may involve recurring criminal activity in a specific area (e.g., repeated break and enters in a certain neighbourhood).
