Loch Lomond Reconstruction Project

Loch Lomond Road (Russell Street to Westmorland Road) – Water, Sanitary and Storm Sewer Renewal and Road Reconstruction

Motorists are advised that beginning Monday, July 29, and continuing through until November, the Loch Lomond Road Water, Sanitary and Storm Sewer Renewal and Road Reconstruction Project begins.  Access to area businesses will be maintained.

Traffic disruptions are as follows:

Kanes Corner Traffic Lights: Removed beginning September 6 until end of October.  Lights will be replaced by yield signs on the Loch Lomond Road and Thorne Avenue approaches and stop signs on the Bayside Drive approach.
Loch Lomond Road : Reduced to one lane in each direction at Kane’s Corner
Thorne Avenue: Reduced to one lane in each direction at Kane’s Corner
Russell Street: Southbound traffic detoured to Rothesay Avenue and Reserve Street

Loch Lomond Road
 
  • Renewal of existing watermain, sanitary and storm sewers;
  • installation of new water transmission main;
  • full roadway reconstruction including new concrete curb and sidewalk and asphalt paving;
  • installation of new traffic lights at the intersection with Westmorland Road
Westmorland Road
 
  •  renewal of existing watermain;
  • installation of new concrete curb and sidewalk and asphalt paving
Atlantic Avenue
 
  •  renewal of existing sanitary and storm sewer;
  • installation of new water transmission main
Easement between Westmorland Road and Tisdale Lane
 
  •  renewal of existing watermain and sanitary sewer;
  • installation of new water transmission line
