Alternate Side Parking (Lower West/North)

Outside of the South Central Peninsula, alternate side parking is applied according to the following excerpts from the Traffic By-Law:

16(2) No person shall, between November 15th and April 30th, inclusive, of each year, between the hours of 00:01 and 08:00, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday park a vehicle on the side of a street that is listed in Schedule “H” and has posted on it signs that prohibit parking during such days and times.

16(3) No person shall, between November 15th and April 30th, inclusive of each year, between the hours of 00:01 and 08:00, on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday park a vehicle on the side of a street that is listed in Schedule “H” and has posted on it signs that prohibit parking during such days and times.

Signs are posted on City streets subject to alternate side parking. These streets are exempt from the winter overnight parking restriction, which is enforced under A By-Law Respecting Traffic on Streets in the City of Saint John Made Under Authority of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1973, and amendments thereto (commonly known as the Traffic By-Law).
