Housing is a basic human need.  The Affordable Housing Service provides housing options for low and moderate income seniors, families and special groups.  The service develops, operates and maintains affordable housing units, sometimes in partnership with others.  In addressing housing needs in Saint John, the service works with other community-based housing groups to
•   exchange information and provide support
•   interact with all levels of government to make sure funding levels are  
     appropriate
•   develop and implement social policy for housing
