2011 Summer Playground Recreation Program

As part of the Neighbourhood Support and Development Service, the City offers a free summer program to children ages 5-12. The eight week program begins June 27. The program includes daily sports, recreation, arts, crafts, outings and games, and is designed to promote recreation and healthy neighbourhoods – community priorities.
 
Program hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. 12 p.m. – 1p.m. 4:00 p.m. (except holidays). Lunch and transportation are not provided. Parents can register with staff at the individual sites anytime after June 27.
 
In 2010 an average of 300 children participated in the program daily.
