Arenas

The City of Saint John maintains four city arenas.  Leisure Services staff are responsible for the operational requirements of the buildings as well as all the activities related to rental and scheduling for groups throughout the season.

Refer to the Ice Allocation Policy  for information on booking ice time.  Your cooperation in maintaining the condition of our arenas is appreciated.

Lord Beaverbrook Rink

 

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2010, the LBR was built by Lord Beaverbrook in 1960 donated the arena to the City of Saint John. The City is responsible for the upkeep and administration of the rink.

The LBR operates year round.  With event seating for up to 2000 people, the LBR sits adjacent to two major hotels.  It features street level access, free parking, seven changing rooms, and is wheelchair accessible.

The rink plays host to local high school hockey action and many minor level teams.
