The Emergency Management Organization is responsible to Common Council for developing, implementing and maintaining a variety of emergency plans, programs and initiatives aimed at reducing the disastrous impact of a major emergency in our community. We accomplish this by working cooperatively with a wide range of partners, including you as a citizen of Saint John, both within and outside the municipality.  

Our vision is for Saint John to be a disaster-resilient and sustainable community in which we are all partners in cultivating and creating an effective community-based emergency preparedness culture.

Our goal is to be the catalyst for public and private inter-agency coordination of community-based emergency management and business continuity.
