Emergency Management

The safety of citizens, property and the environment is critical in the event of an emergency. That is why you have a dedicated Emergency Management Organization (EMO) devoted to emergency preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery for the City of Saint John.

Staff responsible for the delivery of the Emergency Management Service play a role in coordinating emergency planning, response and recovery to natural and man-made disasters. Using an all-hazards approach, the goal is to minimize the impact of emergencies on residents, property and environment in Saint John.
