The Residential Parking Permit Program
responds to the problem of scarce parking on predominantly residential
streets by reducing the competition for curbside space. This can be
accomplished by enforcing a two hour parking time limit, with
residential parking permit holders exempted.
The fee for permit
parking is $30.00 + HST per year, payable in one lump sum upon issuance
of permit in May of each year.
Conditions
- A Residential Parking Permit may be issued upon
application to the Saint John Parking Commission to the lessee or

dwelling unit.
- A Residential Parking Permit will not be issued
