My Saint John


#mysaintjohn Photo Contest

Join us this fall as we celebrate our favourite places. They are our happy places. The places where we come together – or go to get away from it all. Parks. Neighbourhoods. Trails. Beaches. Streetscapes. Historic buildings. Landmarks. These are the places where you take selfies or just post photos of the view. They are the places that set us apart from anywhere else in the world; the places that make you proud to call #mysaintjohn home.

Here’s how to enter:
1.    Email your photo to .
2.    In the email, include your name, the date the photo was taken, the location. You may include a brief 1-line description of why you love it.
3.    Photo must be a minimum of 450 x 250 pixels and cannot exceed 2 MB.
4.    Share the photo on your Facebook and/or Twitter account using the #mysaintjohn hashtag.
5.    By submitting your photo, you agree to the #mysaintjohn Photo Contest Rules and Regulations.

Week 1 Prize Pack (Brag Bag) includes:

Two (2) tickets to the SJTC production of ELF at the Imperial Theatre on Saturday, November 24th AND a family day pass to the New Brunswick Museum.

#mysaintjohn is a civic pride campaign that aims to foster a positive self-image of Saint John. The primary goals of the campaign are to use social media platforms to inspire our citizens to share what they love about Saint John and to generate positive online dialogue.

Here’s how you can show your pride for #mysaintjohn:
1.    Participate in the #mysaintjohn Photo Contest for a chance to win great prizes! (see Contest details above)
2.    Post your #mysaintjohn photos on your Facebook or Twitter account. Use the hashtag and tag @CityofSaintJohnNB.
3.    Check out the #mysaintjohn Facebook Photo Albumas part of the Photo Contest. Be sure to like your favourites!
4.    Share and like other #mysaintjohn photos on Facebook and Twitter.
5.    Download a #mysaintjohn Facebook Profile Frame. Our first Profile Frame will be in honour of Remembrance Day. It will be available October 26 in conjunction with the poppy campaign.
