Alternate pedestrian route open during Harbour Passage closure

17-Jun-2011

The alternate pedestrian route along Main Street is now complete. Pedestrians should follow the red dashed line to walk from Uptown Saint John to the North End or Douglas Avenue to access the other end of Harbour Passage.

Signs showing the alternate route are now posted at connection points to Harbour Passage, and fluorescent pedestrian crossing signs are in place on the Viaduct.

Traffic and Pedestrian Services is working with the New Brunswick Department of Transportation to have a cycling route approved for Main Street, which is a provincially designated highway.
