City Hours and Service Schedules for Canada Day

Mayor's Cup Skateboard Competition

Join us at Station One Skate Park this Canada Day for the annual Mayor's Cup Skateboard Competition!
The event includes a learn to skateboard clinic, DJ, BBQ, prizes and more. Spectators welcome. All activities are FREE! 
10:00 - Learn to Skateboard Clinic 
12:00 - Mayor's Cup Competitions 
Three age categories: 8 years & under; 9-12 year olds; and 13 - 16 year olds
*Thanks to support from P.R.O. Kids and the Fundy Skateboard Association, some helmets and skateboards are available for kids to borrow for the clinic and competitions.

City Hours and Service Schedules

City Hall, Rothesay Avenue and Adelaide Street offices as well as the Carleton Community Centre will be closed on Monday, July 3.  The Carleton Community Centre will also be closed on Saturday, July 1.

Saint John City Market 

Saturday, July 1 – Open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Join in the fun with Mayor Darling, Councillors and Market Merchants.
10:00 – 11:00, Mayor Darling will preside over a re-enactment of a “Pie Poudre (Pie Powder) Court”; a special tribunal held at fairs or markets that dates back to the 18th century England. 
After the re-enactment, Saint John commemorative pins and other keepsakes for Canada’s 150th Birthday will be available. Quantities are limited.

Monday, July 3 – The Saint John City Market will be closed on Monday, July 3

Saint John Transit Commission  

Saturday, July 1 – The Saint John Transit Commission is pleased to advise regular customers and all of the residents of Saint John that the holiday bus service being operated on Canada Day will be free for the entire day.  There will be no Comex service.

Monday, July 3 – Regular service.  There will be Comex service.     

Garbage and Compost Collection

Follows its regular schedule.
