City makes “secondary Explorer logo” available for commercial use

The City of Saint John is making a version of its popular Explorer logo available to eligible enterprises for free to use on promotional merchandise, in response to a resolution of Council.

The secondary logo was developed to distinguish the corporate logo from a promotional commercial use logo. The City reserves the right to use the corporate logo.

Ward 4 Councillor Ray Strowbridge led the charge based on requests from residents and businesses. “There were a number of legalities regarding the trademark and standards of use that needed to be worked out but I am pleased that local businesses will be able to offer their customers a selection of Explorer merchandise,” says Councillor Strowbridge. “I'm excited to buy some merchandise to sport around town for the summer community events circuit in Saint John.”

The logo is to be used for commercial merchandise only. It cannot be used as an endorsement of an event or constitute sponsorship.

Your request will be reviewed by the City within five (5) business days.

Those wishing to apply to use the logo can contact logo@saintjohn.ca or visit here
