City parks reopen after flooding closures

25-May-2018

The City has reopened the flood-impacted parks for public use today. Specifically: Dominion Park, Tucker Park, Pvt Greenslade, Robertson’s Square and Shamrock Field #3.

City crews have completed debris removal and equipment sanitization operations in the parks and the Department of Health has confirmed that soil and water contamination are no longer a concern to public safety.

The only facility that will remained closed to the public until further notice is the canteen and washroom facility at Dominion Park, west Saint John. The facility sustained significant damage during the flood and will require renovations and potential reconstruction.

We thank the public for their ongoing patience and support for our community during this time.
