The City of Saint John has introduced a public engagement opportunity which begins this week with community workshops. ServiceSJ is a process designed for the public to actively assist in determining the needs and wants for the City’s 2013 budget.
Building on the PlanSJ public engagement process, ServiceSJ workshops will be guided by a facilitator who will present information about various City services and encourage discussion. Citizens attending the workshops will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and work with their community, Councillors and City staff.
Workshops will be held over the next two weeks with one in each ward for the convenience and accessibility of residents. However, citizens are not restricted to attending only the workshop held in their ward if another date or location is more convenient.
The first two workshops will be held this week on Tuesday, September 11th at St. Mark’s United Church, 50 Dexter Drive, and Wednesday, September 12th at Lorne Middle School. Workshops begin promptly at 6:00 PM.
