City to Host Homecoming for Sea Dogs

(Saint John, NB)  Mayor Ivan Court and members of Saint John Common Council are encouraging citizens to come out and show their support for the Saint John Sea Dogs on Tuesday at noon.  The City has organized a parade and rally with the Sea Dogs to celebrate their remarkable season.

“Win, lose or draw at Sunday night’s game, these players are our champions.  They are talented young athletes and leaders in our community both on and off the ice, says Mayor Court.  I congratulate the players, coaching and management staff for another exceptional season and a professionally run organization that has become a treasure in our community.”

The parade will begin at 12 noon on Tuesday from King Square and travel down King Street to a rally at the Market Square boardwalk (rain location, Market Square Atrium) at approximately 12:20pm.  Mayor Court is asking fans to come out in their blue and white Sea Dogs colours to show their support along the parade route and at the boardwalk for the rally.

Motorists can expect brief traffic disruptions along the route during the noon hour.
