Common Council To Host Provincial Election Candidates

(Saint John, NB) This Monday evening, candidates from four of the five political parties running in the Saint John area for the September Provincial election will publicly present on how they will help build a sustainable future for Saint John. Their discussions will focus on the municipal challenges and opportunities identified in the City’s 2018 Provincial Election White Paper, along with policy considerations.

Presentations from each of the parties will be approximately 25 minutes, followed by a question and answer period with Saint John Council. Open session of council will begin at 5:00 p.m.

To become informed and engaged, Council encourages citizens to:

1) Review the White Paper and Mayor Darling’s 2018 State of the City address.
2) Watch or join us for Monday evening’s presentations at Common Council.
3) Ask the provincial election candidates about things that are important to you and our City. Understand what their commitments are to ensuring our prosperity and sustainability.
4) Get involved with an initiative that will grow our City, and remember to keep telling the positive Saint John stories.
5) Vote in the Provincial election on September 24, 2018.
