The City of Saint John is now accepting arena bookings for the Spring Arena Ice Time 2018 Season (April 1 – April 30, 2018) at the Hilton Belyea Arena

City Crews Prepare for Heavy Rain


A winter storm event is forecasted to begin Friday afternoon and into Saturday bringing heavy rain with the possibility of freezing rain to the area.

City of Saint John to Post Public Notices Online


The City of Saint John wishes to advise that, beginning January 2018, public notices for new planning applications will no longer appear as advertisements in the Telegraph Journal.

SJEMO Update: Efforts to clear the broken pipeline have been successful, agencies now focus on cleaning the spill, and residents remain evacuated


Crews worked throughout the evening and continue the operation today to purge (clear) the four-inch broken butane line. The operations is ongoing and close to completion.

The incident on Bayside Drive is stable, affected residents remain evacuated while the response continues


The SJ-EMO and responding agencies and organizations, including the Irving Emergency Response Team, remain on scene at the site of yesterday afternoon’s butane leak on Bayside Drive
