Handicapped parking meters in Uptown Saint John now easier to find

06-May-2011

The Saint John Parking Commission is placing blue parking meters at on-street handicapped parking spots around Uptown to increase visibility of the spots.

The traditional parking meters are marked in the Uptown area to show the on-street handicapped parking spaces. The Parking Commission will be replacing the current handicapped meters with new blue meters to easily identify the handicapped parking spaces in Uptown Saint John.

“Handicap parking is an important service to our community,” explains Chris Titus, chairman of the Saint John Parking Commission. “The on-street blue parking meters allow us to highlight the parking spots in Uptown Saint John to better serve our customers.”

The blue on-street parking meters will be placed in various locations around Uptown Saint John over the next  couple of months.
