Lily Lake Open for Public Skating

03-Jan-2017

Lily Lake is now open for skating. With the ice measuring 10 inches thick in several locations, it is considered safe for public skating. However, until it is at least 12 inches thick, the City will not take any equipment on the ice to clear snow.

Skaters are reminded to heed any warning signs posted on and around the ice. Certain areas may not always be safe for skating. Springs in the lake prevent strong ice from forming in some areas.

The City will continue to monitor ice conditions and may close the lake to skating if conditions change. Ice conditions are available by calling 652-PLAY (7529).
