Look Out for Those Working in Work Safety Zones

01-Aug-2017

As construction projects continue, the City of Saint John is reminding motorists to “look out” for City workers who perform construction, maintenance and public safety services on city roads, particularly services carried out in the right of way and in traffic.

“We want to ensure the safety of our workers,” says Peter Morgan, Manager, Safety and Policy.  “Motorists must slow down and obey the posted speed limits while driving through construction and work zones.”

Drivers caught speeding in a construction zone will lose three points off their licence and receive a minimum fine of $172.50.
