Saint John 225 and Bell Aliant are bringing the city’s anniversary celebrations into your neighbourhood.
Saint John 225 is now accepting orders from community groups for its Neighbourhood Celebration Kits, which are filled with fun stuff to help Saint John residents host their own parties in honour of the city’s 225th anniversary.
“Bell Aliant is delighted to help Saint John mark such a significant milestone in its history with the Neighbourhood Celebration Kits,” said Eric Poirier, Bell Aliant Regional Manager for Southwestern New Brunswick. “We hope that many residents take the opportunity to create new memories as we celebrate our history and story.”
There are 225 kits available for Saint John residents and community groups organizing neighbourhood parties sometime in 2010. To order a kit please contact Saint John 225 at firstname.lastname@example.org or (506) 646-0133.
“This is an exciting year for our city and we want everyone to join the celebrations,” said Saint John Mayor Ivan Court. “These kits are a great way for people around the city to celebrate their pride in our great city.”
Some of the highlights of the kit include:
• Bell Aliant disposable digital camera – Capture great pictures of your event and then post them to the Saint John 225 Facebook group or the Saint John 225 website under ‘Share Your Stories’ on our homepage. Let’s create a city-wide anniversary album and celebrate together.
• Saint John 225 Celebration Songs – Get up and dance to the rhythm of our city and the music of 15 Saint John artists. Featuring the music of Jessica Rhaye, Shanklin Road, Ken Tobias, December Fall Out, Girls Would Kill and Clinton Charlton and The Formers, performing their Saint John 225 song - “A Place to Play A Song”.
• Saint John 225 tambourines, crayons, balloons and more – We’ve got everything you need to decorate your street, backyard or community hall. Be creative!
The Saint John 225 Neighbourhood Celebration Kits will be available for pick-up at the Saint John 225 information kiosk in Market Square starting July 5th. Kits must be reserved and confirmed in advance of pick-up.
