Parking: Saint John Festival of Sail – Tall Ships 2017

With the Saint John Festival of Sail – Tall Ships 2017 taking place Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20, 2017, Water Street will be closed to all through traffic from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., both Saturday and Sunday. Barricades with personnel will be in place to redirect traffic from the area. Princess and Duke Streets, from Prince William Street down to Water Street will be closed during the same hours. 

Local businesses will remain open during this time and their deliveries will be permitted as usual. 

Saint John Parking Commission is pleased to offer free parking for the event 

The Parking Commission will offer free parking at the Peel Plaza Parking Garage on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20 only.
 
Free parking is also available at the Saint John Parking Commission lots and meters over the weekend. Please click here for a listing of Saint John Parking Commission lots.
 
During the Festival, accessible parking will be available to those with a disabled parking permit (placard) at the Saint John Parking Commission Water Street lot (next to the Coast Guard Building). To enter this site, motorists must display the disabled parking permit (placard) to personnel stationed at the Water Street barricades. 

Citizens are also reminded that overnight parking is permitted in the area bounded by King Street and Duke Street, and Water Street and Charlotte Street on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from May 1 to October 31. 

Parking at Harbour Station will also be offered free of charge on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20 only.
