Pedestrians and Motorists Advised of Falling Ice and Snow

07-Jan-2014

As temperatures continue to fluctuate, ice and snow build-up dropping off roof tops, power lines, trees and other elevated areas is a risk. The City advises the public to be cautious of falling ice and snow, as it can cause serious injury.

This afternoon, City crews put up barricades to close the sidewalk on the east side of St. Patrick Street, from King Street to Union Street, due to the risk of falling ice. The sidewalk will remain closed until further notice. Pedestrians are asked to observe the closure and be vigilant of other areas that may be experiencing falling ice and snow.
