Officials from Saint John EMO are meeting this afternoon to the review the City’s response plans in preparation for Hurricane Earl. Hurricane Earl is expected to make landfall Saturday morning. Residents are being asked to ready their 72-hour preparedness kits. Further information will be available later this afternoon.
The Emergency Management Organization develops, implements and maintains emergency plans, programs and initiatives aimed at reducing the disastrous impact of a major emergency in our community. Saint John EMO is made up of a number of partners including the Saint John Fire Department, the Saint John Police Force, the City of Saint John Departments of Municipal Operations and Engineering and Leisure Services, Saint John Energy, and the Canadian Red Cross.
