There is a lot of clean up required today now that post-tropical storm Arthur has passed through the City.
Many large trees and branches fell yesterday evening, causing damage, blocking roads, and knocking power out to thousands of residents across Saint John. City crews, including arborists, continue to work hard this morning to clear trees, and repair damages to roads, drainage and other infrastructure caused by the storm.
Residents are asked to approach areas that are washed out, and those where trees are down or leaning, with caution until crews have a chance to attend to them.
Motorists should drive with caution and observe road barricades and work zone sites where crews are operating.
To report damage to City infrastructure, please call Municipal Operations at 658-4455.
In the case of an emergency, including fallen trees and branches on power lines, please call 9-1-1.
