Summer Playground Program


As part of the Neighbourhood Support and Development Service, the City offers a free summer program to children ages 6-12. The eight week program runs from June 24 to August 16.

The program includes daily sports, recreation, arts, crafts, outings and games, and is designed to promote recreation and healthy neighbourhoods – community priorities.
Program hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. 12 p.m. – 1p.m. 4:00 p.m. (except holidays). Lunch and transportation are not provided. Parents can register with staff at the individual sites any time after June 24.

Over 300 Saint John children participate in the program annually.  Flyers are being sent home through local schools and information can also be found on the city’s website at www.saintjohn.ca
