City Snow Removal Crews Working to Widen Uptown Streets

01-Mar-2019
Street widening efforts will take place overnight on Friday in preparation for additional snow accumulation this weekend.  From midnight through to 7:30 a.m., crews will be working along the following streets:

Union Street (Chipman Hill to Carmarthen Street);
Charlotte Street (King Street to Duke Street);
Prince William Street (Duke Street to King Street);
St. Patrick Street (King Street to Union Street).

Temporary signage is being installed to remind residents and motorists that overnight parking is prohibited in this area.

Please continue to keep safety top of mind when approaching and driving around the heavy equipment. If you are able to avoid areas where work is underway, that is always ideal. Crews need all the space they can get to work efficiently and safely.

Thank you for helping us manage through winter in Saint John.
