The Saint John City Market upgrades continue: No Access via Pedway and Germain Street

17-Jun-2016

From Monday June 20 until Thursday June 23, City Market entrances at the Brunswick Square pedway and Germain Street will be closed. This is to allow for the arrival of the escalator at the South of the Market. Market patrons can enter at Charlotte Street and North and South Market streets on Monday and Wednesday. South Market Street and entrance will be closed on Tuesday.

Directional signage will be installed and community stakeholders and market vendors have been notified of the closure. There will be traffic flaggers in place. Motorists, please use extreme caution in the area.

On Thursday, the Germain Street entrance will open however, the full closure of the entire pedway entrance, including the stairs will continue until the anticipated project completion.

The Saint John City Market will remain open, as per its regular business hours, for the duration of this work. For more information, visit www.sjcitymarket.ca

We thank citizens and visitors for their patience during this time, and look forward to unveiling the newly renovated, accessible space this summer.
