Winter Storm Update

February 13, 2019: 7:00 a.m.

City Hall and administrative offices are closed until at least 11 a.m. due to the weather. Conditions will be assessed mid-morning and an update on the closure will be provided at that time.

Saint John Transit services have been suspended until 10 a.m. with an update to follow.

The Saint John City Market will be closed until at least 10 a.m. with an update to follow.

All City arenas
are closed until at least 3:00 p.m. today.

A road advisory from Gateway Operations is warning motorists that travel is not advised on Route 1 from Exit 0 to Exit 239.

City crews have been working overnight to keep priority areas passable. Road conditions are poor with blowing snow and low visibility. Many subdivision streets in priority 3 and 4 areas have not been plowed yet as the focus remains on priority 1 and 2 areas this morning.

Motorists are being asked to reduce speeds and drive with extreme caution. 

Saint John EMO continues to monitor conditions and is ready to respond if necessary.
