An overnight snow parking ban has been declared for the North, East and West areas of the City effective midnight this evening through to 7am tomorrow morning. This means there is no on-street parking allowed anywhere in the North, East and West areas of the City.
Residents of the South Central Peninsula are asked to put their garbage and compost curbside by 4pm today (Tuesday, December 29). We thank residents for their cooperation, as crews work to collect garbage ahead of snow removal operations.
Citizen safety remains our number one priority and City crews are out in full force to keep streets passable and safe. The City thanks citizens for their efforts to stay off the roads, and for understanding the challenges today's weather conditions present.
As per the City's Winter Management Plan, priority one and two streets are cleared first, and continuously. Priority one routes include main streets, highway connections and emergency routes, followed by major bus routes, school zones and community centre and business areas.
