City's Winter Management Plan, priority one and two streets are cleared first,

Garbage and compost collection
services were on schedule this morning.
Residents who were not able to get their garbage to the curb for today's
garbage and compost collection are asked to place it to the curb by 7:30
a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday) and crews will return for pick up. These same crews
will then resume regular Wednesday garbage collection routes, as per the

collection in the South Central Peninsula will not be picked up on Tuesday
night. It will be scheduled for collection on Wednesday
evening. Those who placed garbage and compost at the curb today are asked to please remove it from the curb so it is not in the way of the

continue into tomorrow, the focus in the South Central Peninsula will be to
plow snow and push it back as far as possible prior to snow removal operations
that may be carried out on Thursday night. An overnight snow parking ban in the
South Central Peninsula is expected to be called for Thursday night. Please

The Saint John Police Force is urging people to stay off the roads, unless necessary. When
on the roads, motorists should turn their headlights on so plow operators and
other motorists can see each other.
