Lily Lake is now open for skating. The ice at the lake is
nine inches thick and is now safe for public skating.
Skaters are reminded to heed warning signs posted on the
ice. Only the designated area is safe for skating. Springs in the lake prevent
strong ice from forming in some areas of the lake.
The City of Saint John’s Parks and Landscape Service will
continue to monitor ice conditions and may close the lake to skating if ice
conditions change. Ice conditions are available on the City’s website at
saintjohn.ca/parks or by calling 652-PLAY (7529).
