Precautionary boil water advisory issued for Red Head Subdivision

Mon September 19, 2011

The commissioning process for the Ocean Drive wellhouse (off Red Head Road) has been completed and the system is ready for connection to the distribution system. Beginning September 15th, Saint John Water will begin introducing chlorinated water from the Ocean Drive well into the system. The chlorinated water will be phased in over a period of several days.

During the start-up of the Ocean drive well, a PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY has been issued. The advisory is for the safety and protection of water consumers to ensure the water consumed meets Canadian Drinking Water Guidelines. You will be notified by door to door notification when the boil water advisory is lifted. Both Saint John Water and the Department of Health will be monitoring the water sample results.

Red Head Subdivision includes Harbourview and Woodlawn, see the full newsletter here.
