A watermain break occurred at approximately 11:30am this
morning on City Road near the intersection with Stanley Street. The
watermain is 152mm (six inches) in diameter. A crew was immediately
called in to respond to the watermain break and the section of pipe has been
isolated.
The break in the pipe is expected to take most of the day to
repair.
Saint John Water responds to approximately 70 breaks in the
drinking water distribution system each winter.
