Rothesay Avenue and Russell Street traffic lights out of order
The traffic lights at the intersection of Rothesay Avenue and Russell Street are out of service until further notice. A motor vehicle accident over the weekend caused considerable damage to the traffic light infrastructure and significant repairs are required.

Lane closure on Route 1 westbound at Exit 114
On Monday, January 23, 2012, traffic will be reduced to one lane in the westbound direction of Route 1 in the area of exit 114, which is the exit for Grand Bay – Westfield and Fredericton. This lane closure will remain in effect for six weeks.

No vehicle access to Rockwood Park on Christmas Day
Lake Drive South, which takes vehicles into Rockwood Park from Mount Pleasant Avenue, will be closed on Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25, 2011, for operational purposes. The road closure is for the full 24-hour period beginning at 00:01 a.m. and ending at 11:59 p.m. No vehicles may access the park that day. Any violators parking on Lake Drive South will be towed.

Sandy Point Road reopening this evening, Union Street by Saturday afternoon
Repairs to Sandy Point Road are expected to be complete by 6 p.m. this evening. City of Saint John crews are on site paving and preparing to remove the detour after last week’s storm.
Contractors are finishing the final work on Union Street this evening and tomorrow. The street will be open by afternoon to allow for traffic related to the Santa Claus Parade to use Union Street.
